Meet Your Cruise Planner
Hello. My name is Susan Robinson. Welcome to my website!
I am happy to call the Napa Valley my home. When I’m not in this beautiful place, I am surely on a far-flung adventure, experiencing a wonderful corner of our world.
Traveling is part of who I am:
- At three years old, mom and I immigrated to the United States from Argentina. We traveled over the Andes by train from Buenos Aires to Chile, by plane to Guatemala and by freighter ship up the Pacific Coast to California. Mom says this route was my uncle Carl's crazy idea of a “budget” relocation venture. Unless you're after some real adventure, mom doesn’t suggest you try this. She says DEFINITELY FLY.
- When I was six, I sailed on the Argentina Maru (a Japanese cargo ship) with my grandparents from Los Angeles to Buenos Aires via Rio de Janeiro
- Mom’s United Airline passes allowed us to travel as a family during my high school and college years. Hawaii, Argentina and Europe were some of our favorite destinations.
- College was for knowledge, but for me, it was also an opportunity to discover new places. My college years found me in Wisconsin, Bonn-Germany, New York City and San Diego.
- As part of my abroad studies in Bonn (at that time West Germany,) I visited: East Germany (ask me about my experience at Check Point Charlie sometime) Sweden, Austria, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Turkey and Greece. I majored in German, minored in dark beer and schnapps.
- Visiting the Holy Land in 1996 was a dream come true: I toured Israel (was baptized in the COLD river Jordan,) Jordan (loved Petra,) Egypt (found sand everywhere after a windblown stop at the Sphinx,) Greece (saw the Lion's Gate in Mykonos I had learned about in my favorite art history college class.)
In 2002 I was given the opportunity to work as a travel agent at a local agency on the North Coast. I realized I could use my travel experience and people skills to help create wonderful vacations for my clients. In 2004 I followed my heart by purchasing a Cruise Planners franchise that today I own and operate.
Today I have the best of both worlds. When I’m not on a far-flung adventure, experiencing a wonderful corner of our world, I am able to travel vicariously through my clients. How cool is that?
